About

Who We Are

Żgħażagħ għall-Bidla (Youth for Change) is an independent, youth-led platform in Malta dedicated to empowering the next generation of citizens. Founded by educator and civic activist Luke Fenech, the organisation provides a structured, non-partisan space where young people can gather, debate, and drive social progress.

Our Mission

We bridge the gap between youth voices and national policy. By hosting public meet-ups and participation spaces, we transform the ideas, concerns, and aspirations of young people in Malta into actionable insights. We believe in democratic participation, social justice, and creating an inclusive future where youth are not just spectators, but active architects of policy.

What We Do

Public Meet-Ups

Hosting structured discussions and debates on national issues, social questions and youth priorities.

Policy Advocacy

Compiling feedback from meet-ups into formal reports and proposals that can be presented to decision-makers.

Community Engagement

Working with local civic bodies and partners to bring decision-making closer to young people and their communities.

Values and approach

Youth voice

We create space where young people can speak, listen and present ideas seriously.

Respectful debate

We encourage open discussion where different opinions can be explored respectfully.

Proposals and follow-up

Meetings and discussions can lead to reports, proposals and new topics for action.
